Why is Ascorbyl Glucoside used instead of L-Ascorbic Acid?
L-Ascorbic Acid is highly effective but notoriously unstable — it oxidises quickly and loses efficacy when exposed to air, light, and water. Ascorbyl Glucoside is a naturally-derived, stable form that converts to active Vitamin C once absorbed by the skin, giving you reliable, consistent brightening without the shelf-life and formulation challenges of pure Ascorbic Acid.
Why does it need to be used in the morning?
Vitamin C is an antioxidant — its primary function is to neutralise free radicals generated by UV exposure and pollution during the day. Using it in the morning, followed by SPF, gives you maximum protective benefit. It can also be used in the evening, but morning is the optimal time for antioxidant serums.
Can I use this if I have oily or acne-prone skin?
Yes — this serum is suitable for all skin types. The oils in the formula (Sea Buckthorn, Rosehip, Avocado, Almond) are used at low concentrations and do not make the serum heavy or pore-clogging.
